This event gave birth to the Gorkhaly Foundation. Neeraj P. Gorkhaly, the founder, organized the tournament as an event for the Nepali Summerfest, a youth sports and entertainment festival. Winners were all given donated prizes and the cash from registration went to the first place winner’s choice of non-profit organization that participated at the festival. All cash collected for the tournament went to the winner’s choice,
COMMITTED, a 501(c)(3) organization.
